Next
we learn to look at ourselves in a new light so we may reconnect to the
original self... you know, the one we knew before we go to war ... the
one person we knew before our traumatic events.
Before
we experienced the traumatic event, we knew who we were and we all had a
movie soundtrack playing a song in the background of our life. This
was the person we connected with and the music played as we went on
great adventures to explore the unknown. During our great quest, we
encountered an event or several events that disconnected us from that
song that we once played. We were stunned and went into shock. The
song no longer played... we stopped just like the song stopped.
Now
we need to find the song and reconnect with it. Because we are older
and wiser now, the song has matured... just like us. So, the song will
have matured as well. Reconnecting to this vibration, this music,
this personal sound is the beginning to constructing a new and better
life. This is the Personal Transition and Self Discovery that provides
us the new perspective so that we may see that PTSD is no longer what
we thought it was... it is not a death sentence.
It is, if we open up to it, a valuable set of experiences that help us evolve into a more enlightened being.
